Weimar Republic, 10 Reichspfennig, 1936-A (Berlin), PCGS PR66CAM
What a joy it is, when one finds a TRUE Cameo Proof from the Berlin mint !
This example has satiny details which stand out boldly. Slight original planchet porosity has been almost completely pressed out on the polished fields. Hints of pinkish toning blending into turquoise toward the edges gives this coin a most attractive accent of colour.
The Proof mintage of this coin is though to have been very small, the mint having started already in 1936 to produce coins with the new Swastika designs. This example may well be the finest surviving and is destined for a #1 set.
