Beautifully struck with full lustre, it's hard to understand what kept PCGS from grading this one higher.  We won't guarantee anything, but this coin could be a great "crack-out" candidate.  Even at "only" MS64, this coin is way near the top, AND well above the KM value for BU (MS63). ...

It is suspected (but not confirmed) that the banks in Hamburg systematically replaced these from circulation with the later coins showing the Lions left and right of the City Crest.  Theoretically, then all of the circulating coins of Hamburg would show the same Coat of Arms ........
