Schaumburg-Lippe, 5 Mark, 1904-A (Berlin), PCGS MS64
This is one of the lowest mintage silver circulation coins of the entire German States.
As usual with these crown-sized coins, there is some slight bag marking, but far less than usual - nothing obtrusive. The fields are exceptionally clean with a bright, swirling lustre. In fact, this coin looks so nice, we expected it to get a "+". Maybe it will next time around, but no promisses.
It is unlikely that a better example as a business-strike has survived. We had to ignore the book-value for BU (MS63) when we bought this.
