Weimar Republic, Regular Issue 3 Reichsmark, 1932-A (Berlin), PCGS MS65

Coin Details

Despite the relatively large mintages, few of these coins were actually ever put into circulation.  By 1932, the Weimar Governament were well advanced in their plans to cheat the German population by reducing the amount of silver per Reichsmark used for coinage.  And collectors wern't particularly interested in any issues that wern't commemorative.

This coin is very well struck with little of the uneven rims which plague this issue.  The lustre is full and any bag-marking really minor.  A handsome toning in red-brown and chocolate hues deepens toward the rims.

The Pops clearly show just how hard it is to find these in ANY high grade.
